New for 2026! We will be looking at dividing into (2) divisions, Majors and Minors.

 

There will be no softball division for girls born after 8/31/2018. We highly encourage girls to participate in the Baseball Teeball & Coach-Pitch divisions. We believe girls compete and learn the game faster with the co-ed baseball division at the younger ages. Registration can be completed on the TAYBLL website for baseball divisions (any player registered in both baseball and softball simultaneously will be granted a "sibling discount"). We will also be exploring that possibility of holding softball clinics for girls in the 8U Baseball Coach Pitch division.

TAYSLL will do our best to schedule around Jr. High Softball schedule to accommodate girls wanting to participate in both leagues, during the couple week overlap.

 

Softball Majors – Player pitch 2013, 2014, & 2015 birth years

Softball Minors – Hybrid Player/Coach Pitch 2016 – 8/31/2018

Games will be held at Tyrone's Ferner Field and Huntingdon's LL softball field. There may be opportunities for additional games with various local little leagues.

Softball Majors and Minors: $80/player + selling 16 x $10 cash raffle tickets (Sibling Discount - Oldest child pays full price, each additional child $40 + 8 x $10 cash raffle tickets)

Any player registered for both Baseball and Softball will be given the "sibling discount"!

Financial assistance through Little League’s partnership with T-Mobile will be made available in 2026 for qualified families. If you do not meet the requirements of the T-mobile grant but still need assistance, please contact the board of directors at [email protected] and we will confidentially and discretely handle it to ensure that your child gets to play. We will not turn a child away due to ability to pay.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

1) The biggest thing is to have your paperwork ready ahead of time before registration.

2) Complete player registration and volunteer registrations as separate times (this seems to be easier)

What you need to register your child(ren):

1) A copy of your player(s) birth certificate(s)

PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to provide proof of residency to complete the registration. TAYBLL will get that information when needed. You can bypass it for registration purposes.

What you need to register yourself as a volunteer, if applicable:

1) Criminal History Record Check (digital copy)

2) Child Abuse Clearance (digital copy)

3) (annually) Little League Child Abuse Awareness (online, to be completed every year)

4) Copy of your driver's license (picture of license is adequate)

5) (annually) JDP Clearance (this will be sent via e-mail after registration is complete)

We do have some of the clearances on file from prior years, but if we ask you to submit those again, please understand it is required and in the best interest of our kids. We appreciate your cooperation with this. WE RECOMMEND REGISTERING YOUR PLAYER(S) IN ONE TRANSACTION, AND WHEN YOUR CLEARANCES ARE READY, REGISTERING YOURSELF AS A VOLUNTEER AT ANOTHER TIME.

(If you are a volunteer, you will also need to complete the JDP Clearance. You will receive an email from Tyrone Area Youth Baseball Little League that includes the Little League logo in the body of the email. The link in the email expires after 14 days, so please fill it out when you receive it. It is mostly pre-filled in and takes less than 5 minutes to complete.)

To register:

1) Choose "Register Now" for the desired division (if registering multiple players or volunteers, these can be added as you go)

2) Log in with a previous account from last year, or create a new account

3) If creating a new account, verify email (you will need to check your email and will need to click the link in that email)

4) Back in the registration site, choose "Register My Players"

5) Enter PARENT/GUARDIAN name and information as well as any additional parent/guardian information in the "Additional" section.

6) Choose number of players your are registering

7) Enter date of birth and gender of each player and choose available division even if not their preferred division (ie. an 8 year old wanting to play up in Player Pitch, etc).

8) At this point, you can choose to sign up as a volunteer (or can sign up multiple volunteers {ie. husband and wife, etc.]).

9) If not volunteering, check out.

10) Volunteers - Select the link to sign up as a volunteer. If on your phone, swipe left, if needed, to choose the position you wish to sign up for (or you can do this in separate transaction).

11) Answer Background survey and include "N/A" where needed.

12) Click "View and Accept" and digitally sign your name for the LL Volunteer Application, LL Privacy Policy, and LL Child Protection

13) Upload your Driver's License

14) Upload your PA Child Abuse Clearance and Criminal Background History Check
