The Tyrone Little League Youth Softball Program is dedicated to providing girls in our community with a positive, fun, and competitive environment to learn and play the game of softball. As part of the Little League charter, our program currently offers opportunities for players in the 12U and 10U Softball divisions, helping athletes develop their skills while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Our goal is to introduce young players to the fundamentals of softball while fostering a love for the game that can last a lifetime. Through practices, games, and teamwork, our athletes learn the value of hard work, respect, and supporting one another both on and off the field.

At this time we do not offer an 8U softball division but we encouraged girls to play 8U baseball because it gives them the opportunity to compete in the same environment as boys while developing strong fundamentals and confidence in the sport. At the youngest levels, baseball and softball share many of the same basic skills—throwing, catching, hitting, base running, and teamwork. Playing 8U baseball allows girls to build these skills in a faster-paced version of the game that can help sharpen reaction time, arm strength, and overall athletic development.

We are committed to growing the game of softball in Tyrone and providing opportunities for young athletes to develop their abilities, build friendships, and represent their community with pride.
